QQI Indicators
The Quantitative Quality Indicator (QQI) is a mandatory accessory for verifying the effectiveness of Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) techniques. Unlike standard Pie Gauges or Ketos Rings, QQIs are designed to be attached directly to the test part, providing a true assessment of the magnetization at the surface of the component.
Key Purpose:
These low-carbon steel shims feature artificial flaws (etched notches) of controlled depth and width. When properly applied, they validate that the magnetic field is strong enough and oriented correctly to detect defects of a specific size.
